Jackie Snedden

Troy Police Chief Charles T. Craft is pleased to announce that Police Service Aide Jackie Snedden has been selected as the Non-Sworn Police Department Employee of the Year for 2006.

PSA Snedden began her career with the Troy Police Department in June of 1979.  She has served in the Dispatch Center, Jail, as well as on the Road Patrol.  Currently she is assigned as a Road Patrol Police Service Aide wherein she assists with traffic direction, enforces parking violations, provides access control and assistance at traffic crashes as well as other crime scenes, assists motorists, investigates private property accidents, and performs animal control responsibilities.

PSA Snedden was selected for this prestigious award as a result of her long-term exceptional performance throughout her career.  PSA Snedden has received a Merit Service Award, fourteen letters of commendation for exceptional performance, as well as seventeen letters of thanks and appreciation from citizens and other law enforcement agencies.

In making this selection, Chief Craft reinforced that the entire department recognizes that PSA Snedden is an employee that can be counted on to accept difficult assignments, be proactive in the identification of problems, and resolve issues in a way that enhances citizen confidence in the department.
