About the Investigations Division

The Juvenile Unit is charged with the responsibility of addressing the complex issues of juvenile crime and victimization. Highly-trained investigators are assigned to work in partnership with families, schools, social service agencies, and the courts to protect and assist our youth.

The Juvenile Unit is supervised by Detective Sergeant George Zielinski

If you need the assistance/advice of the Juvenile Unit, call 248-524-3451.

School Liaison Program

School Liaison Officers are members of the Juvenile Unit who are assigned to each of Troy's High Schools on a permanent basis. The officers investigate criminal activity and serve as a resource to school staff and students. Their presence in the schools provides the school age population with direct access to police service and fosters a positive relationship between the students and the police department. School Liaison Officers are available to provide information, counseling and referrals.
