Daily Responsibilities

Administer the following systems:

• Computer Aided Dispatch (county based)
• Records Management (county based)
• Mugshot (county based)
• Booking Automated Digital Livescan Fingerprint (county based)
• Automated Pistol Registration System (APRS)
• Applicant Automated Digital Fingerprint  
• Livescan Security System 
• Interview and Lockup Recording Systems
• State CORE LEIN Application and county based Web
• LEIN Local PC Network

Daily Operations

• Create and maintain user accounts and employee  access to folders and resources based on the job assignment
• Administration of the security system which includes creating ID cards, assigning access rights, and insuring cameras and card readers are operational
• Coordinate with the City IT Department for access to city and county resources
• Troubleshoot PC or application software and general help desk duties
• Install printers and troubleshoot printer problems

Projects 

• Complete imaging and installation of new PC’s
• Prepare fingerprint system to send prints electronically to the State
• Establish connectivity with Michigan Criminal Justice Information Network (MICJIN) Portal to use for State CORE LEIN application, pistol registration system, and applicant fingerprinting system
• Maintain the interview and lockup recording system
• Oversee the installation and programming of personnel card readers and cameras for the security system
• Oversee the Property Room software on a Microsoft SQL database
• Assist in preparation of annual Budgets
• Interview and develop schedules for college interns
• Prepare and oversee federal block grants
• Prepare quarterly crime and calls for service reports for Department and City Administration  
• Make various purchases of technology-related equipment
• Respond to requests for statistics from homeowners associations, the business community, and members of Department
