Tactical Support Team

The Tactical Support Team is comprised of highly trained, highly motivated, and highly dedicated members of the Troy Police Department. Tactical Support Team members conduct high risk warrant services and respond to incidents involving barricaded gunmen, armed suicidal people, civil disorders, and other very hazardous situations where special training and equipment is essential for the safe resolution to the problem at hand.
Tactical Support Team members are highly proficient in the use of advanced weapon systems and tactics. Many of the members hold instructor certifications in various special operation disciplines. Members are also required to meet rigorous physical conditioning standards that enable them to perform their function at the highest possible level.
The Tactical Support Team operates within the Special Operations Section of the Road Patrol Division. Officers assigned to the Tactical Support Team can provide tours of their specially equipped vehicle, which was paid for with Drug Forfeiture Funds, and conduct presentations explaining their basic equipment, physical conditioning, and required skills.
For more information, please call the Special Operation Section at 248-524-3432.
