  • No amount of Money is worth a life! If confronted with this type of situation do not endanger your life over demands for money or other tangible items.
  • Get the best description that you can and call the Police immediately. The sooner the Police can get on the case the better.
  • Remember that money and jewelry can be replaced, a life can not.
  • If at all possible do your banking during business hours. It should be a required business practice to have at least two people present for any night drops.

There has been 4 different incidents where Ford SUV's have been broken into. These incidents all occurred on Dec 5 between 9:30 A.M. and 7:30 P.M. In all these incidents the front window was smashed out of the vehicle and the factory stereo/CD player was stolen. These incidents all occurred at hotels in Troy, 1 at the Troy Marriot 200 W Big Beaver, 1 at the Embassy suites 850 Tower, and 2 at the Drury Inn 575 W Big Beaver.
A 2004 Hyundai was broken into at the Hooters Restaurant at 1686 John R on DEC 6 between 6:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. The perpetrator smashed out the drivers side rear window and stole a HP laptop.

As we have seen in years past the closer we get to the Holidays the more break-ins tend to occur. Be extra vigilant during this time. Make sure you lock your vehicle up and park in a well lit area. Ensure that anything of value is out of sight.
