December 28, 2004 Update
Disorderly Person, Assault & Battery, Hinder & Obstruct Police Arrest, Traffic Detail, East Big Beaver/East of John R, 12/24, 10:00 PM.
Officer arrested 20-year-old male for Assaulting an Officer (among other charges) after he disregarded the officer's direction and physically assaulted him. Apparently suspect had just attended Christmas service at nearby church. Another officer attempting to respond to assist the first officer at the location cited a 46-year-old male driver for failing to yield to an Emergency Vehicle.
Larceny from Auto, Discount Tire, 1125 E. 14 Mile, 12/24, 10:45 AM-7:15 PM.
The victim reports that the passenger side front window of his car was broken out while it was parked awaiting service. A jacket, CD's, and the car stereo were stolen.
Home Invasion, Jackson street, 12/25, 1:30 PM-10:00 PM.
An unknown person pried open the front door and stole the top drawer of the resident's dresser. That drawer contained the resident's financial records, but no cash. In a similar home invasion five months ago $4000 in cash was stolen from the same drawer.
Larceny, Grand Haven street, 12-24/12-27, 4:00 PM-11:00 PM.
The victim reports someone stole the center caps from his vehicle while parked in parking lot of complex. Other vehicles were possibly attacked but officers were unable to contact owners at time of report.
Manufacture Methamphetamines Warrant Arrest, Wisconsin street, 12/27/04 6:50 PM.
Officers located the suspect at the home of his parents and arrested him on an outstanding warrant from Michigan State Police Southwest Enforcement Team. He was carrying a loaded 9mm in his waistband. A truck reported stolen out of Illinois was recovered in the driveway. Arrested suspect is believed to have been the driver who fled from Troy Officer earlier this year in the Maple / Dequindre area. Narcotics paraphernalia and a lap top computer consistent with Meth production were recovered from the vehicle he was driving after he abandoned it during that incident.

The victim reports that $9,000. in cash was taken from his car when he left it for service. A blue Ford F-150 pick up and gray Dodge Ram pick up were seen quickly leaving at the time the theft was discovered.
