December 28, 2004 Update

Larceny, Enterprise Rent a Car, 1810 Maplelawn, 12/22-12/23.
The victim reported leaving a $3000.00 set of golf clubs in the trunk of the rental vehicle she turned in on 12/22. When she contacted the rental agency, they stated they had already rented it to another client. They contacted that client who stated there were no clubs in the trunk.


Fail to Stop and Identify at the Scene of Crash/Drove While License Suspended Arrest, Northbound I-75 at Rochester, 12/24, 7:32 AM.
The freeway was closed due to another crash and icing conditions when a 1991 Caravan struck one of the cars involved in the crash. When officers approached, the van drove off. It was subsequently stopped, and the 29-year-old female driver was arrested for failing to stop at crash and driving on a suspended driver's license.
Drove While License Suspended Arrest, Southbound I-75 at Big Beaver, 12/23, 7:39 PM.
A 20-year-old female was arrested at the scene of a crash for driving on a suspended license. The investigation revealed that she lost control of her 1994 Ford Taurus. It was found on its roof in the median on the overpass. No injuries.
Home Invasion, Troy Center street, 12/24/04, 1:15 PM-3:30 PM.
The victim states unknown suspect(s) broke into his apt and stole Christmas gifts and other items.
Larceny, Wal-Mart, 2001 W. Maple, 12/26, 2:45 PM.
The victim left/forgot her purse in her shopping cart after loading her car. When she returned, it was gone. No one turned it into store personnel. Cell phone, $300.00 cash, and ATM card missing.
Retail Fraud Arrest, Target, 1301 Coolidge, 12/27, 3:05 PM.
A 20-year-old female stole $53.96 worth of CD's and was apprehended by store personnel.
Embezzlement over $1000.00 Arrest, Target, 1301 Coolidge, 12/27, 6:10 PM.
Loss Prevention Officer noticed merchandise piled in stock room where it did not belong. Later he observed store employee exiting that area of the stock room pushing a shopping cart containing a large Rubbermaid storage container. The stacked merchandise was gone. The employee paid for the container. She was stopped upon exit and $1670.35 worth of stolen merchandise including camcorders, video games, videocassettes, and an iPod were recovered. 18-year-old female was arrested.
