August 26, 2005 Update

Voltek, 550 Stephenson, 8/3, 08:00 am- 5:00 pm. 
A printer was stolen from a work area.


Anvil, 8/16-8/18
A lawnmower left outside garage was stolen.
Pond Ridge, 8/18, 1:30 pm 2:30 pm. 
A white and black bike was stolen from in front of  the residence.
Caliper, 8/13, 7:00 am 11:30 am. 
Part of a birthday display that was erected on the lawn was stolen. 
Kilmer, 8/15, 3:30 pm. 
A 13 year old reported that he left his red and white skateboard that has a ninja sticker affixed to it and valued at $140.00 in his open garage for about 5 minutes.  When he returned, it was gone. He stated an unknown witness told him that 2 males, approximately 15 years old, were walking west with a skateboard in hand.  They could not be located.
Troy Marriott, 200 W. Big Beaver, 6/18, 9:00 am 2:25 pm. 
A victim called from Florida and reported that she believes a pearl necklace was stolen from her suitcase while she was out of her room during her stay in June.
Somerset Collection South, 2801 W. Big Beaver, 8/13, 6:48 pm. 
A citizen stated while in restroom, he took his wallet out to retrieve a phone number and inadvertently left it behind.  He returned several minutes later to discover it gone.  He suspects another male subject who was also inside the restroom.  Security questioned that subject; he denied responsibility.
Kirts, 7/31-8/13
Two basement storage lockers in the apartment building were entered and miscellaneous personal items stolen, including a laptop computer.  One was not locked; the other was locked, however the gate could be pulled open.
Rodney, 8/10, 12:01 am -1159 pm. 
A white mountain bike was stolen from the yard.
Witherbee,  8/11, 9:00 am 2:00 pm. 
A Huffy mountain bike was stolen from outside the residence.  An older black Schwinn 10 speed was left in its place.
Lens Crafters, 8/24, 4:30 pm 8:30 pm.
An employee reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse, which was in a drawer in the rear office.
Vehma International, 8/11, 5:00 pm 10:00 pm. 
An MP3 player was stolen from an unlocked locker.
Madison, 8/22-8/24 
An American flag was stolen from the flagpole.
Valley Vista, 8/24, 9:30 pm. 
A resident reported that he discovered a .22 cal pistol missing from a lock-box.  He hadnt opened the box since May.  He stated he had workers in his home 3-4 months ago.
Larceny by Trick, Barnes and Noble, 396 John R, 8/15, 3:45 pm.  
A 21-year-old female from Royal Oak reported that she selected a book priced at $25.00, which she was going to buy, when a male subject approached her.  He showed her a $50.00 gift certificate and stated if shed give him $25.00 in cash, hed put her book on his gift card.  She stated that she thought the gift card purchase might earn him some kind of points on his card or something, so she agreed.  She gave him the cash; he took the book, and then returned it to her representing that he bought it.  She asked for the receipt, which he stated he didnt have, and he left.  She proceeded to inquire about the transaction with the cashier and discovered that the book had not been purchased.  The suspect is described as black male, 30 yrs., missing two side teeth, 62, black shirt with martini glasses pictured on it, olive green kaki pants, white hat.
