December 16, 2005 Update

Northwood University, 1900 W. Big Beaver, 12/1-12/10
Vending machine had coin box removed and undetermined amount of change stolen. It also appeared the dollar bill changer had been tampered with and had some currency removed. 


Kirts, 8/26 - 12/8
Several household items stolen from fenced basement storage locker in apartment building. Gate was locked, however storage locker is open at the top and it appeared suspect climbed fence to gain access to items. 
John R, 12/9, 2:00 a.m. - 2:30 a.m.
Complainant stated he has been experiencing thefts of firewood and Christmas trees from a lot behind his business. While checking the lot, he noticed a maroon Ford backed up to a pile of firewood. The vehicle fled. An unknown amount of firewood was missing. 
Northpointe, 12/10 - 12/11, 11:00 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.
18-year-old female from Rochester Hills and 19-year-old female from Shelby came to the station to report that while attending a house party the night before, both their purses were stolen. The 21-year-old male who hosted the party advised he could provide names of attendees. 
Office Suite, 1450 W. Long lake, 12/9 - 12/12, 4:00 p.m. -  9:00 a.m.
Petty cash box and coffee can containing miscellaneous change stolen from office suite, as was a set of keys to the building and other offices located therein. No sign of forced entry. 

Kirts, 11/10 - 12/10
Apartment basement storage locker had padlock cut and collectable music carousel stolen. 
Houghten, 12/10, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Complainant reported he placed his digital camera on a kitchen counter. He discovered it missing after workers left the residence who had installed a fireplace insert. 

Clark Gas Station, 1602 Livernois, 12/12, 6:22 p.m.
Complainant reported '97 Mercury Sable drove off w/out paying for $22.00 worth of gas. 
JC Penny, 700 W. 14 Mile, 12/12, 6:30 p.m.  - 6:45 p.m..
Complainant had small amount of cash and a credit card stolen from her unlocked employee locker.  05-43802
Eagle Drive, 12/11, 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Snow thrower stolen from in front of garage.  05-43816
Marmi Shoe Store, Somerset Collection, 2801 W. Big Beaver, 12/11, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Complainant believes her wallet was stolen from her purse while she set it down to try on shoes. When she contacted her credit card company, she learned it had already been used to make in excess of $5,500.00 in unauthorized purchases. 05-43838
Lady Foot Locker, Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile, 12/13, 5:00 p.m.
Complainant believes wallet was stolen from her purse while she and her daughter were shopping for shoes. 05-43843
Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile, 12/13, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.
A 16-year-old female complainant from Warren reports an unknown male approached her just after her mother dropped her off. He reportedly struck up a conversation with her and remained with her while she shopped for approximately 2 hours. At the time of the larceny, he was reportedly carrying 2 bags of merchandise with $75.00 worth of purchases she had made, as well as her cell phone, which he was using.  As complainant entered a store, she realized he left the area with her property.  She provided a limited description: B/M, 28, 6'0, 180, who introduced himself as, "Cheddar."
