December 16, 2005 Update
Rite Aid, 2971 W. Maple, 12/13, 1:32 a.m.
Manager observed W/M enter the store then exit w/a haircut kit visible under his coat that he had not paid for. Manager gave chase, however suspect entered a waiting green Ford Taurus driven by a B/M, which immediately fled the area. A check of the aisle where the kits are displayed revealed two missing. Total stolen: $59.98

Complainant reported a male entered the store and stole two cans of beer. Officer remained in the vicinity writing the original report when complainant summoned him back into the store indicating the suspect had returned. When officer approached the suspect, the subject appeared intoxicated and became uncooperative. During the contact, two bottles of beer the suspect had stolen during the course of his second visit were discovered in his pocket. He resisted officers' attempts to arrest him. The 21-year-old male from Detroit was charged with two counts of Retail Fraud, one connected w/each visit, and one count of Hindering and Obstructing Police.
