May 5, 2005 Update
A homeowner on Wilton reported that his wife saw someone running by the front window. When he investigated, he discovered the pedestrian door to the garage had been forced open and the garage door partially opened. Several items of lawn equipment had been moved outside; the suspect appeared to be trying to clear a path to access a large generator stored inside the garage.
A homeowner on Hartland reported discovering $930.00 worth of miscellaneous tools missing from his garage. He stated the doors on the back do not lock. He believes the theft occurred sometime over a few days.
A homeowner on Scottsdale reported someone entered her home and stole a Bose radio and sound system, as well as cash and two pair of diamond earrings. She believed all doors were locked when she left and there was no evidence of forced entry. The investigating officer discovered the front door lock was malfunctioning, which may have allowed the perpetrator access to the home
