May 13, 2005 Update
Clare, MI, 5/6, 8:44 a.m.
Clair County Sheriff's Department reported recovering an unoccupied '92 Ford Tempo that had been stolen from Pennington Collision on 4/26. In that case, a suspect came in claiming interest in the car, which was for sale, and had been given the keys to look it over.
Charter, 5/6-5/9, 5:00 p.m.-4:30 a.m.
Complainant reported parking his '92 Jeep Cherokee in the lot for the weekend. During that time period, the Ohio State Police contacted him and asked if his car had been stolen. He confirmed no one was supposed to have it; one arrest was made.
Woodside Trail, 5/12, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Complainant reported '01 Chevy Express van stolen.
Northfield Hilton, 5500 Crooks, 5/11, 7:45 p.m.-10:15 p.m.
Complainant reported '04 Dodge Ram 1500 stolen from lot.
Northwood University, 1900 W. Big Beaver, 5/11, 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
Complainant reported someone tried to steal her '02 Chrysler Intrepid. Suspects pried door handle on driver's door to gain entry, and had popped the ignition cylinder.
