May 13, 2005 Update
Complainant reported receiving a call from unknown male asking to meet him. Complainant stated he responded hed meet him at the Police Department. Complainants friend told him later that day that he had been assaulted by two males, one of whom took complainants phone number from him at time of assault.
Officers responded to call from female that a male was on the first floor of her residence that she did not recognize. Investigation revealed she is an Alzheimers patient and the male was her husband. She was assisted/reassured by officers.
Complainant on Norwich reported his neighbor has been calling him obscene names. He is concerned his young children will hear the language. He says it seems to occur each year around this time.
Officers responded to group home on Blair where 66-year-old female resident walked to another home on the street, believing that was her correct address. EMS evaluated her, and she was conveyed back to group home without incident.
Complainant reported receiving several calls from unknown male who would either hang-up or ask for her daughter. Officers spoke to complainants son, who advised he believes the caller is a friend of his cousins who is interested in his sister. Officers provided advise on resolution if complainant did not wish those attempts to continue.
