November 11, 2005 Update

Complainant reported suspicious unoccupied '02 Chrysler Voyager running in the lot for several hours. Officers discovered ignition punched. Vehicle was reported stolen earlier in Oak Park. (This was probably a "drop-car" when the car below was stolen)

Complainant reported his '05 Dodge Durango stolen from the lot.
Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile, 11/1, 3:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m.
Complainant reported his '03 Chevrolet Venture stolen from the lot.
Shurguard, 1315 Chicago, 8/29
Complainant reported male from Troy who rented a Budget Rental truck in August, failed to return it to their office in Columbus as agreed. He has not responded to certified mail attempting to locate him and recover the truck.

Two Honda motorcycles stored beneath a tarp were stolen.
C and C Grinding, 1685 Austin, 11/8, 7:27 p.m.
Officers observed a '90 Dodge Ram P/U enter the parking lot of a closed business. The P/U approached a trailer containing two snowmobiles that was being stored in a partially fenced-in lot behind the building. The driver and passenger exited the truck and after repositioning the P/U, hooked the trailer up, and drove off. A stop was made, and the driver claimed to be just taking the trailer to a near-by gas station to inflate its tires for the owner, who he represented was his friend. The tires were not in need of air and the driver was unable to provide the name of the owner/friend. The actual owner was contacted and advised she didn't know the driver or passenger, and had gave no one permission to take her property. The 39-year-old male driver from Sterling Heights and his 30-year-old male passenger from Troy were arrested for UDAA.
