November 11, 2005 Update
Troy Officers responded to four incidents involving individuals experiencing emotional/psychological difficulties and assisted w/transport to the hospital for evaluation/commitment.
Complainant was concerned about his 43-year-old sister's drinking. He stated she is on probation for drunk driving and isn't supposed to be consuming alcohol. Officers contacted her. She blew .11 on a PBT. Her probation officer was advised. Complainant was advised, at her request, not to return to her residence or she would press charges for trespassing.
Walmart, 2001 W. Maple, 11/4, 11:40 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Complainant observed 2 year old female child left sleeping in unattended/locked car in parking lot. She reported approximately 20 minutes after she first noticed the child; a female exited the store, retrieved the child, and then went back inside. Officers located the 31-year-old female from Ferndale with her child in the Subway inside Walmart. The mother initially claimed the child was left in the car for less than one minute, but eventually admitted it may have been longer. She was briefed on child safety issues.

Store reps called concerned that 77-year-old male from Troy trying to buy wine may be drunk. Officers spoke to him, he was disoriented. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation and his daughter was contacted/advised.
