October 5, 2005 Update

Logan's, 86 W. 14 Mile, 10/2, 1935 hrs.
Restaurant manager reported a 27-year-old male from Mt. Clemens, who is an ex-employee, entered the restaurant and was observed by a waitress as he placed a white rat on the floor near the kitchen entrance, then took a photograph of it.  When the waitress confronted him, he claimed he was looking for his sister, picked up the rat, and fled.  It was discovered that a 30-year-old male companion, also from Mt. Clemens, drove the subject. The companion was located waiting in a car in the lot. He stated the subject told him he needed to stop and use the restroom, however had not returned.  Officers located the subject as he walked into a nearby gas station, across the street. The subject refused to indicate where the rat was, or why he placed it in the restaurant. He appeared intoxicated, and indicated he didnt think it was a "big deal" placing the rat in the restaurant.  Management advised both subjects not to return or face prosecution for trespassing. They were released at the scene.
