October 14, 2005 Update

Complainant reported her credit card number had been fraudulently used to make a purchase on an Internet site for $215.42.


Complainant reported someone opened a charge account at Marshall Field's in his name without his permission and made a $132.48 charge against it.
Complainant contacted by cell phone company regarding a third person using his personal information to open an account. The contact indicated suspicions of possible identity theft. Complainant had not authorized the account.
Complainant reported his daughter used his credit card to make purchases without his permission. He has closed the account.
Suburban Motors, 1810 Maplelawn, 9/7. Complainant reported suspect purchased a '03 Pontiac Grand Prix using a $4,000.00 check as down payment that came back insufficient funds. Suspect has not responded to certified notification to make good on the check.
Complainant reported he is a real estate appraiser and that someone is using his name and credentials fraudulently to conduct appraisals.
