October 14, 2005 Update

Somerset Mall, 2800 W. Big Beaver, 10/5, 1600 hrs.
16-year-old female from Troy reported she and another female friend, also from Troy, parked in a spot in the structure. Apparently a car in front of her passed the spot, began backing up sounding its horn in an effort to re-claim the spot. Complainant stated she pulled in first. She stated when they saw the driver of the other car walking toward them; she and her friend went into the mall to avoid a confrontation. Upon her return, she discovered extensive key marks on the drivers side door. Somerset Security had obtained the suspect's information. Troy Officer contacted the 22-year-old female from Royal Oak who came to the station and stated she was mad at the other driver for taking the spot. She indicated she approached the car intending to confront the other driver, but found it unoccupied. She stated she was going to spit on the vehicle, but didn't. When pressed, she admitted having her keys out and in her hand, and may have "inadvertently rubbed against the car," but denied keying it. Investigation continues.


Good Foods, 72 W. Maple, 10/7, 1430 hrs.
Complainant reported he parked his van in the lot behind the store. Upon returning to it, he heard the rear passenger side window break out. He observed a commotion coming from the residence directly behind the lot, saw a subject holding what appeared to be a BB gun and observed a dark colored sedan flee from the vicinity of the residence. Responding officers located the black '95 Buick LeSabre behind a nearby business w/the 18 year old male from the residence in question standing next to it. The complainant and another witness identified him as the responsible party. He was arrested for Malicious Destruction of Property. He was also found to be drunk. He blew a .16 on a PBT and a charge of Minor Consuming Alcohol was added.
St. George Church, 2160 E. Maple, 10/9, 1200 hrs.
Rear window broken out of '02 Honda Accord parked in the lot.
Thunderbird Lanes, 400 W. Maple, 110/2, 1900-2130 hrs.
Complainant reported his '01 BMW as keyed while parked in the lot.
Troy 16 Properties, 1607 E. Big Beaver, 110/8-10/11/05
Complainant reported discovering a boot mark on elevator control panel and one of the buttons damaged.
Trailwood, 10/12, 1600-1700 hrs.
'97 Ford Taurus parked on street had two BB holes shot into driver's side window.
Continental, 10/12, 2000-2030 hrs.
Complainant reported hearing footsteps on rear deck, as well as someone tapping on glass family room door. Upon checking the area, the phone box was discovered pulled from the outside wall.
