A 27-year-old male from Troy arrested for Felonious Assault after threatening his mother with a knife. He had been drinking all day. A dispute ensued during which he threatened her, and then left. He was located that night by Troy Officers in an intoxicated state, at which time he claimed he had been car-jacked. That story was deemed unfounded, and he was transported to the hospital due to his level of intoxication. The officers were unaware of the assault at that time, and the victim did not mention it when officers followed up with her after locating her intoxicated son that night. The assault was not reported until the next day, apparently after suspect returned home from the hospital.
A 50-year-old male from Troy physically assaulted his wife during a confrontation. She pushed him away and he departed into another area of the house, however the dispute continued, during which he grabbed a .38 caliber handgun. His wife and 20-year-old son were able to wrestle it from his grasp. She and her daughter fled the home, with the gun. When officers arrived the suspect was engaged in a physical struggle with his 20-year-old son inside the home with the 20 year old trying to hold him down. Officers confiscated several loaded long guns found on the suspect's bed. He was intoxicated. He was arrested for Domestic Assault and Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated.
A 50-year-old male and his live-in 23-year-old son, both from Troy, arrested after assaulting one another. Both had been drinking. It appears the son was confronted by his father for being drunk and possibly suspicions over his using marijuana. The dispute became physical, with mutual assaults occurring. Both were arrested.
A 45-year-old female and her 50-year-old husband, both from Troy arrested for assaulting one another during a dispute that became physical. When officers arrived, she came outside and claimed her husband had armed himself with a gun. She appeared heavily intoxicated and was placed in the rear of a patrol car while officers made contact with him. He exited the residence unarmed and without incident. The guns in the house were still locked up; none had been removed. He had also been drinking. While officers conducted their investigation, the female began kicking the rear door of the police car. Both were eventually arrested. While enroute to the station, the female continued kicking the rear door of the patrol car. Both were charged with domestic assault, an additional charge of Malicious Destruction of Police Property was added against the female, as the vehicle sustained damage to the window and window frame.
