When police car came into view of '94 Eagle Talon that was driving in area, the Talon made a sudden and evasive turn into a subdivision. It came out some time later and was stopped after several traffic violations were observed. The two male occupants provided conflicting stories as to why they suddenly turned off. Investigation eventually lead to the discovery of a marijuana pipe and pillbox under the driver's seat. The pillbox contained ½ of a Vicodin tablet, and 112 tablets of an anti-depressant. The 18-year-old male driver from Sterling Heights stated he stole the pills from his dad. He was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia. His 16-year-old male passenger was TOT his grandmother.
Big Beaver and Livernois, 10/20, 0007 hrs.
Officers observed '99 Pontiac Montana van driving along with occupants passing what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. The van was observed weaving, as well as proceeding very slowly as it traveled along. A stop was made. When the window was rolled down a large cloud of smoke with the overwhelming odor of marijuana was emitted. The 37-year-old male driver from Flint failed sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Marijuana, as well as Possession of Marijuana. A 37-year-old male passenger from Flint and a 21-year-old male passenger from Burton were also found in possession of marijuana and were arrested. The two other passengers, both male, one 22 from Howell, the other 32 from Clio were released. All were watching the 70's hit "Up in Smoke" movie on mobile DVD at the time of stop.
