Complainant reported her diamond ring valued at approximately $1700.00 missing from her bedroom. She reported hiring a contractor to paint the outside of her home recently. He had access to the interior to paint the window frames.
Lifetime Fitness, 4700 Investment, 10/13, 0815-0830 hrs.
Complainant reported leaving her wallet on the counter. When she returned to retrieve it, it was gone. While reporting the theft to her credit card companies, she discovered one of the cards had been fraudulently used.
National City bank, 725 E. Big Beaver, 10/13, 1250 hrs.
Complaint believes he left his cell phone on the counter. When he returned to retrieve it, it was gone.
Skate World, 2825 E. Maple, 10/14, 2100 hrs.
Complainant reported she left her cell phone on a bench. When she returned to retrieve it, it was gone.

Complainant reported his cell phone stolen from unlocked football locker during practice.

Complainant reported her iPod stolen from her locked gym locker. It was inside her backpack.

Belt sander stolen from open garage.
Glaser, 10/15, 2200-0900 hrs.
Complainant reported someone entered unlocked detached garage and stole a motor scooter.
Northampton, 10/16, 0830-1200 hrs.
Complainant reported discovering her son's bike missing. A witness informed her that an 11-year-old male had taken it. She went to the residence and retrieved the bike, which had been re-painted. A witness advised officers that the suspect claimed he found it abandoned at Susick School. Officers spoke to the suspect and his mother. Suspect admitted taking the bike from the side of the house, but claimed he thought the bike's owner "meant to give it to him." Agreeing her son's story didn't add up, his mother apologized to the complainant and agreed to reimburse her for the bike.
Cyberlogic, 5480 Corporate, 10/14, 1000-1900 hrs.
Complainant reported leaving his briefcase on a shelf in his office. He stepped out for a while. He later discovered his wallet missing from the briefcase. When he checked with his credit card companies, he learned two unauthorized charges were made, one at a pizza shop, a second at a liquor store. Several unsuccessful attempts were also made to acquire cash.

Complainant reported $565.00 stolen from her purse. Several house guests in the residence the night before.
Troy Cheese and Wine, 2555 E. Maple, 10/18, 1250 hrs.
Delivery truck driver observed suspect run from the rear of his truck carrying a bag of chips. Officers located the 18-year-old male from Pontiac running from the scene and detained him. The chips were recovered and returned to complainant. Suspect apologized for the incident. No prosecution. He was assisted with transportation arrangements back to Pontiac.
Ovonic Battery Company, 1414 Combermere, 10/18, 2230 hrs.
Officers observed '02 Dodge Caravan driving without lights behind businesses in industrial subdivision. It drove over curbs as it proceeded through the lots. At one point the lone male occupant parked, got out on foot, stole a piece of scrap metal from behind a business, placed it in his truck, and sped away. The 44-year-old male from Clawson was stopped and arrested for Larceny under $200.00, which is a misdemeanor. During a search, a small plastic baggie was found on his person containing a residue that tested positive for cocaine. A crack pipe was also recovered. He failed sobriety tests, refused a chemical test, so a search warrant for his blood was obtained. Toxicology is pending. The following charges were added: Operate Under the Influence of Cocaine (This is a third offense for operating under the influence of intoxicants, therefore it is a felony), and Possession of Cocaine, which is a felony.

Unlocked '00 Mazda parked in drive had cell phone charger and hands-free earpiece stolen.
Courtyard, 1525 E. Maple, 10/16-10/17, 2215-0825 hrs.
Four wheels/tires stolen from '06 Chevy Impala parked in lot. Lug nuts left behind; car left on landscape blocks.

'05 Ford 500 had left rear window smashed out and briefcase stolen.

'06 Pontiac left unlocked in the lot had in-dash stereo system stolen from lot.
