Rochester and Wattles, 10/17, 2108 hrs.
A 28-year-old female from Allen Park approached an officer in the parking lot and pointed to a silver Mercedes driving in the area, claiming the male driver had picked her up for a date at Caribou Coffee on Rochester earlier, and had refused to take her back to her car. She explained they met earlier in the day in Grosse Pointe. He gave her his cell number, which she called and arranged to meet him at Caribou for a date. There they chatted for some time, then rented a room at a nearby hotel where they had consensual sex. Upon his driving her back to the area, she claimed he would not take her to her car, so she jumped out of the Mercedes and approached the officer. Other officers stopped the Mercedes. The 22-year-old male from Dearborn Heights provided the same account. He explained he thought she was drunk, so didnt want to drop her off at her car. He claimed he was looking for a "cop" to drop her with. She was not intoxicated, nor was he. She was conveyed to her car and officers stood by while she departed.
