Crime Alert for period ending April 6, 2007 Altercations/Disorderly Conduct:
Assaults: Villa park, 3/30, 2120 hrs. Officers responded to a report that “someone had been hit with a
hammer during the course of an assault.” Officers learned that a 14-year-old and 16-year-old female
became involved in a fight during which the 16-year-old struck the
14-year-old with a hammer.
Apparently there was some sort of friction between the females
stemming from a verbal exchange on 3/29. On today’s date, the 14-year-old and a male acquaintance
reportedly drove by the 16-year-old and advised they were going to “get more
people and fight her.” The
16-year-old stated she was told by a third party the “14-year-old was
planning on using a lock as a weapon,” so she brought a hammer from her house
as protection. The 16-year-old
advised the 14-year-old eventually showed up, a physical altercation occurred
during which the 14-year-old threw the first punch and she retaliated by
“hitting her with the hammer.”
The 14-year-old claimed a “verbal altercation between the two became
physical, with the 16-year-old punching her first.” When she retaliated, she stated the “16-year-old hit her
with the hammer.” The
14-year-old was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The 16-year-old was arrested,
juvenile petitions initiated against her and she was turned over to her
mother at the station. Post Office, 2351 Bellingham, 3/31, 2200 hrs. A 35-year-old female from Pontiac came to the station on 4/1 to report

female threw some mail in her face during the verbal exchange. She stated when she picked it up and
threw it back at the other female, the other female punched her twice in the
face, at which point a supervisor intervened and stopped the incident. 1000 block of Rochester Road, 4/2, 0445 hrs. At 1708 hrs. on 4/2, a 19-year-old male from Troy telephoned the PD
from a gas station to report that earlier that morning he had been
“threatened with a pair of knives by a 27-year-old male roommate.” The victim indicated he had moved
into the apartment with a female acquaintance and her husband about a week
ago. The male became angry with
him and demanded he move out.
During the course of that argument, the suspect reportedly “backed the
complainant into a corner of the apartment while threatening him with the
knives.” The 23-year-old female roommate was awakened during the altercation
and intervened between the two, such that the complainant was able to safely
exit the apartment. Complainant
waited until the next morning to return after the suspect left, however the
suspect returned while he was there and again demanded the complainant leave,
which he did. He wandered around
for a while and then called police to report the incident. The 27-year-old male was arrested for
the assault, as well as several outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions. Assist Other Department/Law Enforcement: Troy Beaumont ER, 44201
