Altercations/Disorderly Conduct: Assaults: Shell Gas Station, 3990 Rochester, 6/23, 0400 hrs. Clerk reported a Cadillac with four males inside arrived at the
location. Two came inside and
began giving him a hard time.
When they left the store, complaint went outside to keep an eye on
them. One of the group
approached and challenged him as to “what he was doing.” When he responded he wanted to make
sure they didn’t damage any of the equipment, the subject “punched him in the
side of the head.” The group
fled west on Wattles in the Cadillac.
No medical treatment required.
Suspect: Middle Eastern
male, approximately 25-years-old. Maple and Rochester, 6/26, 1729Hrs. Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress involving several
male combatants. Upon arrival,
there was no one in sight, however a witness indicated the suspects had
entered a house on Dreon in Clawson.
Officers proceeded there and located several subjects in and around
the residence, including a victim and a suspect. The investigation indicated that two carloads of males
apparently got involved in a traffic altercation after an SUV pulled out of a
gas station onto W/B Maple. The
stories vary, however there was a perception that the SUV almost hit the
victim’s car, which was W/B on Maple, when it pulled out of the gas station
and an altercation ensued between the two vehicles. Apparently both cars stopped in the street and some of the
occupants exited their respective vehicles. The victim, a 24-year-old male from Troy who was a
passenger inside the car that was W/B on Maple, was punched in the face and
body numerous times by a 36-year-old male from Clawson, who was a passenger
inside the SUV. When the 36 year
old male suspect from Clawson was advised he was being placed under arrest,
he retorted, “You’re not taking me to jail!” and attempted to retreat. He was controlled and arrested
without incident, however several individuals from the house in question

toward officers attempting to make the arrest. Other responding officers kept them back and the scene was

apparently turned right onto E/B Maple from N/B John R and struck the
bike. The Durango stopped after
impact, the male driver opened his door and then closed it, making no attempt
to approach the struck cyclist before driving off. The plate registered to an
address in Sterling Hgts. Troy
Officers proceeded to that address and located the suspect vehicle parked in
the street in front of the address in question. It had what appeared to be fresh front-end damage,
including tire marks on the front bumper. Investigation revealed the vehicle was being driven by a
42-year-old male from the residence.
He admitted driving, as well as striking the bike. He provided no reason as to why he
fled the scene. He was arrested
and charged with “Leaving the Scene of an Injury Crash,” as well as “Careless
Driving.” The 31-year-old
cyclist from Sterling Hgts. was evaluated at the scene by paramedics, however

______________________________ Crime Prevention Tips
Larceny
Ø Always keep control of all your property. Ø Your belongings are not safe while you are
playing sports or at work unless you have them properly locked or are in
possession of them. Ø Thieves wait for the right time and will
take property quickly. Ø Unfortunately you cannot always trust
co-workers or other business associates. Ø Do not rely on others to watch your
belongings. If they fail, you
will be the victim, not them. Ø Be cautious of who you allow into your
home. If you invite guests that you really do not know into your home you are
inviting trouble. Harassment and Stalking
If you are being threatened, stalked or harassed by
someone, consider obtaining a Personal Protection Order. If you have a Personal Protection Order against
someone, do not contact him or her in violation of the terms of your own
order, it may make the order unenforceable. If someone violates a Personal Protection Order that
you have, contact the Police immediately. If the Officers arrive and the person is still there, they
may be able to take immediate enforcement action. If you are receiving harassing, threatening, or
annoying telephone calls, you should make a police report. After making a report, the SBC
Annoyance Call Bureau will initiate an investigation. They will require a case number, the
dates and approximate times of the calls, and some contact information from
you. It is a good idea to begin
keeping a log of these calls as soon as they begin. Alcohol / Drugs
Be responsible, if you drink, DO NOT DRIVE! If you serve alcohol, make
sure that your guests make it home safely. Don’t serve alcohol to
underage children We all must
share the roads, don’t risk the lives of others or yourself. It is not a good idea to mix Alcohol
with other activities like boating or swimming. If you drink, do it in moderation and don’t drive or put
yourself and other at risk. ·
DO NOT
use illegal drugs ·
DO NOT
drive and endanger the lives of everyone if you have consumed alcohol or
drugs. ·
If you
are under 21 years of age, IT IS ILLEGAL to consume or possess alcohol. If
you have any information on illegal drug activity call our tip line at
