Crime Alert for period ending March 14,
2008 Altercations/Disorderly Conduct: Assaults: Brooklawn, 3/10, 0240 hrs. Officers
responded to a report of a fight between three female roommates (two are 26
years; one is 24 years) on the front lawn of the residence. Upon arrival, they had already been
separated, no one provided details on why the fight began, none wanted to
press charges, and there were no apparent injuries.
There were two males at the residence; however they apparently were
not involved in the physical altercation.
Somerset
Collection, 2800 W. Big Beaver, 3/6, 1400 hrs. 16 year old male complainant from Troy and
his mother came to the station on the 7th to report that while the
male was at the mall w/a female friend as well as several others on the 6th,
the female’s 17 year old brother approached him a slapped him across the
face. Apparently the 16 year old
called his 19 year old brother who responded to the mall, called the suspect,
and threatened to beat him up if he assaulted his brother again. The complainant’s mother reported receiving
a call that night from the 17 year old youth’s mother advising her she wanted
the complainant to stop hanging around her daughter. She made a second call indicating she was
reporting the threats by the 19 year old against her son to the police. Three minor
assaults reported, one at Troy Beaumont involving a patient targeting an
employee; one at Somerset Collection involving two male ex-business partners
that apparently inadvertently saw each other at the mall; and one between a
male and female at a room at a local hotel.
No arrests; no injuries; unknown if anyone is pursuing charges. Assist Other Department/Law
Enforcement: Auto/Vehicle Thefts: Kevin, 3/10-3/12, 1230-1030 hrs. Passenger side door lock pried and
steering column attacked in an unsuccessful attempt to steal a ’94 Dodge
Caravan parked on the street. Hill, 3/11-3/21, 2300-0700 hrs. ’97 Plymouth Breeze stolen from
drive. U-haul, 1250 W. Maple, 3/3, 2044 hrs. 14’ open U-Haul trailer stolen by
the occupant of a four door P/U that pulled into the lot, hooked it up, and
drove away. Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile, 3/8, 2100-2240 hrs. ’02 Olds Alero stolen
from lot; complainant thinks he may have inadvertently dropped his key fob in
the parking lot while walking into the mall, or left the keys in the vehicle
by mistake. Elaine, 3/7, 0000-1000 hrs. Dodge
Spirit stolen from in front of residence. Breaking and Entries: Just for Her, 2939 E. Big Beaver, 3/7-3/8, 1715-0930 hrs. Front door glass smashed out w/a cinder
block and the cash register stolen. Ace Electronics, 401 Minnesota. Building
under construction entered by unknown means on unknown date and three rolls
of electrical cable and two boxes of low voltage wire stolen. Island Breeze, 2089 W. South Boulevard, 3/5-3/6, 2100-0650 hrs. Glass broken out of west side doors and
small amount of currency stolen from cash register. Crash Investigations: Woodside,
3/12, 0230 hrs. Officers responded to
a report that a PT Cruiser struck several vehicles that were parked in the
apartment complex lot and then fled.
Officers located five vehicles damaged in all. They also located the PT Cruiser on the east
side of the complex. It had front end
damage and was missing its bumper. Footprints
in the snow lead to a nearby dumpster where the bumper was located. A search for the driver proved
negative. The vehicle was impounded
and held. It was registered to a 23
year old female from Fraser. She came
to the station the next evening and claimed a deer ran out in front of her as
she drove through the complex. She
swerved to avoid it, crashing instead into three parked cars. She stated she panicked, parked her car,
and ran to the friend’s house in the complex where she was originally headed.
Credit, Check, Identity Theft, and
other Fraud: Complainant reported someone tried to charge a $6000.00 donation to The
American Cancer Society to his credit account. His credit card company did not allow the
charge to go through before contacting him due to the large amount. He confirmed it was fraudulent. Complainant reported someone made a fraudulent $208.00 purchase using
his debit card account number. Complainant reported being contacted by a collection agency regarding
an overdue on-line credit account in the amount of $636.00 that he never
opened. Express One, 1/18-3/8 Complainant
came to the station to report discovering two checks issued to the company
had been stolen, possibly from their post office box, altered, and
cashed. When he checked the PO Box, he
discovered a cell phone bill in the company’s name but addressed to a
different PO Box. Investigation
revealed that box belonged to a former employee. Additional audits revealed that employee
may also have been making cash collections from a customer for services
rendered, issuing his own receipts, and keeping the monies himself. An audit is on-going. Home Depot, 1177 Coolidge, 3/8, 2015 hrs. Complainant reported two male subjects
loaded up two carts w/merchandise and attempted to pay for the $1076.84
purchase w/a credit card company gift card.
The cashier noticed the gift card number displayed on the computer did
not match that displayed on the card.
One of the males grabbed the card from the cashier, and both quickly exited
the store in a teal colored 90’s Buick four door. The credit card company confirmed several
attempted/failed usages against the account. Suspects: #1 B/M, 25-30, 6-0, medium build, wearing a
tan knit hat, glasses, chipped tooth, “pelle pelle” tan leather jacket, black
jeans; #2 B/M, 30-35, 6-3, medium
build, wearing a black “kango” hat, black jacket w/an artistic logo on the
back. JC Penney’s, Oakland Mall, 700 W. 14 Mile, 3/7, 1900 hrs. LPO reported
being alerted by a cashier regarding a male subject attempting to make a
purchase using a $200.00 American Express traveler’s check that the cashier
suspected might be counterfeit. The
LPO confirmed the check was counterfeit w/American Express and detained the suspect. The 24 year old male from Detroit told
responding officers that a relative gave him the check. Officers confiscated four additional
counterfeit traveler’s checks from him; one American Express and three VISA. In addition to the above, one credit fraud was reported that occurred
using complainant’s account information for an on-line purchase. Sunoco Station, 2017 Livernois, 2/27-3/3 Complainant stated she used her debit card
for gas and dropped it before driving away.
She discovered a $42.00 fraudulent purchase made at the gas station
against the card before she was able to cancel it. Complainant reported someone opened fraudulent credit accounts using
his personal information. Domestics/Family Troubles: Troy
Officers responded to 11 incidents involving family trouble/domestic dispute
where investigation revealed no assaults or other crimes occurred, therefore
no formal enforcement action was taken.
Investigators
are following up on an incident of reported domestic assault wherein the
suspect was gone when the incident was reported. Drugs/Narcotics: Big Beaver and Cunningham, 3/8, 2352 hrs. Officers responding to a burglar alarm
observed a white Ford Taurus driving out of the lot w/out headlights and
stopped it. Upon approaching, officers
smelled the odor of burning marijuana coming from inside the car. The driver, a 26 year old male from Troy,
had a small amount of marijuana in his sock which he turned over. He was cited for possession and released. His brother was contacted to come and pick
him and his 28 year old female passenger from Troy up. No sign of burglary attempts on any of the
buildings. Hill Elementary School, 4600 Forsyth, 3/6, 2320 hrs. Officer observed
an occupied Pontiac Grand Prix near an entrance on the east side of the
school w/the engine running and lights on.
As the patrol unit came into site, the lone male occupant immediately
exited and started walking briskly toward the school. The officer approached and asked him what
he was doing. He stated he was the
custodian. The officer smelled burning
marijuana coming from the subject’s person and from his car, as the window
was open. As the officer continued to
question him, he could smell intoxicants as well as marijuana on his breath. When asked, the subject claimed the smell
was just cigarettes. When asked about
the alcohol, he stated he just had one beer in the car and was about to head
home. When pressed, he admitted
smoking a small amount of marijuana.
In checking the car, the officer found an open can of beer w/liquid
still inside, four empty beer cans, and one cold full unopened beer. A “roach” was found in one of the subject’s
jacket pockets. A small tin container
was recovered from another that contained a marijuana cigarette, a small
amount of marijuana, and rolling papers.
The 53 year old male from Clawson was arrested for possession of
alcohol on school property, possession of marijuana on school property, and
possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
He posted bond and was released; a pre-trial/arraignment will be set
at a future date. Drunk/Intoxicated Driving Incidents
of Interest: Livernois and Wattles, 3/9, 0556 hrs. Officers responding to a report
of a vehicle stopped in the roadway found a Chevy Trailblazer stopped in the
right lane of S/B Livernois S/O Wattles.
The 28 year old female driver/lone occupant from Warren was asleep
behind the wheel. Upon awakening her,
officers smelled a strong odor of intoxicants on her breath. She had slurred speech and thought she was
on 14 Mile. She stated she was on her
way to Warren from Detroit. She stated she had two drinks. She failed sobriety tests and was
arrested. She blew .14 on a breath
test. Big Beaver and Rochester, 3/6, 2355 hrs. Cell phone caller reported a vehicle
weaving as it drove along, which eventually stopped at a traffic signal and
remained stopped for several cycles of the light. A responding officer
located a Pontiac stopped at the green signal on W/B Big Beaver east of
Rochester. The female driver/lone
occupant was passed out over the wheel.
The officer activated his emergency lights and walked up to the
driver’s side door. He knocked on the
window several times and the driver woke up and began driving away. He followed and was able to get her to pull
over west of Rochester. The 23 year
old female from Rochester Hills smelled of intoxicants and had slurred
speech. She stated she was drinking in
the area of 15 Mile and Groesbeck. She
failed sobriety tests and was arrested.
While checking the vehicle it appeared it had fresh damage along the
front. An area wide broadcast was put
out for a possible case involving a hit and run driver. Sterling Hgts. PD reported they had a
report of an H/R crash involving a similar vehicle. When asked, the driver admitted hitting a
van somewhere, but didn’t recall where that occurred. She blew .19 on a breath test. Embezzlements: Liberty
Lending, 5455 Corporate, 7/1/06-12/25/07 Company representative reported a 58
year old male former employee from Rochester Hills created a fraudulent
credit account with one of the lenders complainant’s company does business
with in the amount of $500.00. No
money was lost, as the attempt was discovered and cancelled. The employee was
terminated. It appears after the
termination, the suspect re-opened the account, possibly by phone. Investigation continues. Arthur Zaske and Associates, 2301 W. Big Beaver, 7/3/2006-3/10/08 Company
representative/complainant reported subtracting w/an individual out of
Florida to handle some of their billing/bill payments. Complainant discovered several accounts
went unpaid over the last three quarters. The funds were
withdrawn from complainant’s accounts by the subcontractor under the auspices
of making the proper payments; however complainant suspects they were
deposited into an account owned by the subcontractor. Home Invasions: Larcenies: U.S. Army MEPS Station, 1172 Kirts, 3/11, 0800-1200 hrs. Wallet stolen
from purse stored in an unlocked locker in women’s room. Wallet recovered in the men’s room, minus
the credit cards. Woodside Bible Church, 6600 Rochester, 3/12, 1800 hrs. Complainant reported three male teens had just been observed walking
through the church and then looking into the windows of cars parked in the
lot. Officers located the three
subjects on foot in a nearby subdivision.
They each had a different account of why they had been at the
church. Investigation revealed one of
them; a 14 year old male from Troy had stolen a wallet from a coat inside the
church. He was still in possession of
the credit card from that wallet, but had dumped the wallet in the lot. He gave $3.00 in cash to one of his buddies
from the wallet, and $6.00 to the other.
He was found in possession of a memory stick, as well. Officers contacted the victim in the case
below that had been reported on the 11th who provided his password
to the stick. Officers connected the
stick to a computer and were able to verify it belonged to that victim. The 14 year old was arrested, transported
to the station, where juvenile petitions were initiated against him for larceny
in a building, and he was TOT his parents.
The 12 and 16 year olds, both from Troy, in his company were
transported to the station and TOT their parents. Juvenile charges may be sought against them
at a later date. Woodside Bible Church, 6600 Rochester, 3/11, 1800-2130 hrs. Cell phone
and memory stick stolen from pocket of a coat that was hanging on coat rack. Lovington, 3/11-3/12, 1700-0815 hrs. Complainant reported being
contacted by her bank regarding suspicious purchases on her debit card. Upon checking, she discovered her 34 year
old son whom she had been allowing to stay at her residence gone, her debit
card missing, along with her vehicle keys.
When she checked outside, she discovered her Jeep Grand Cherokee gone,
as well. She reported her son has a
history of drug use. East Lovell, 3/9-3/10, 2300-0630 hrs. Snow blower stolen from open
garage. Special Tree Neuro Skills Center, 600 Stephenson, 3/7-3/10, 1700-0830
hrs. Locked desk drawer in unlocked office pried open and petty cash box containing
small amount of currency stolen; nothing else disturbed in office. Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois, 3/7, 2115 hrs. Complainant reported his iPod was stolen
from his backpack that he left in the bleachers while playing
basketball. The responding officer’s
investigation revealed a 15 year old male from Troy was observed rummaging
through the victim’s backpack.
Attempts to make contact w/the suspect at his residence proved
negative. Fedora, 3/8-3/9, 1245-1130 hrs. Complainant reported a snowboard, two
skateboards and two sets of roller blades came up missing from his
garage. He stated his son hosted a get
together at the home the night of the 8th.
They suspect a 19 year old male and an 18 year old male, both from
Grand Blanc. A female in attendance at
the get together reported her purse stolen, as well. Costello School, 1333 Hamman, 3/8, 1330-1445 hrs. Complainant stated while attending a school
event she placed her coat in one of the rooms and later found it down the
hall minus $7.00 and a cell phone. The
phone is non-functional. Larcenies from Autos: Thistle, 3/12, 2215 hrs. Complainant reported hearing his garage door
opening and when he looked out saw two subjects fleeing on foot through his
yard in a northerly direction. When he
checked his Cadillac in the drive he noticed it was unlocked and the garage
door opener was missing. Nothing
appeared to be missing from the garage. Troy Beaumont Hospital, 44201 Dequindre, 3/10, 1200-1300 hrs. Complainant
reported her 90 year old mother was in for some minor surgery and they were
advised by hospital staff in attendance that her wedding rings would have to
be removed. Complainant stated her
understanding was that they were going to be placed in the hospital
safe. The rings have since come up
missing. Coachman, 1/15-2/23 Catalytic converter stolen from Pontiac Grand AM
parked in apartment complex lot. Woodingham, 3/9-3/10, 2100-0630 hrs. Two unlocked Jeep Laredo’s parked
in open garage entered and a GPS unit stolen from one; a laptop computer
stolen from the other. Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile, 3/9, 1745-2045 hrs. GEO Prism parked
north of JC Penney’s had driver’s side window smashed out and purse that was
left under driver’ side seat stolen. Newgate, 3/6-3/7, 1930-0800 hrs. Unlocked Chrysler Town and Country
parked in drive entered, rummaged, but nothing stolen. Drury Inn, 575 W. Big Beaver, 3/7, 1900-2200 hrs. Catalytic converter stolen from ’02 Pontiac
Montana van parked in lot. Troy Hilton, 5500 Crooks, 3/7-3/9, 1745-1700 hrs. Catalytic converter
stolen from ’03 Pontiac Montana van parked in lot. Rite Aid, 2791 W. Maple, 3/6, 0900-1800 hrs. Catalytic converter stolen from a Toyota 4
Runner parked in the lot. TV Communications, 2040 Crooks, 3/6, 0800-1200 hrs. Catalytic converter
stolen from an Honda Pilot parked in the lot. U-Haul, 1250 W. Maple, 3/6, 1700 hrs. Catalytic converter stolen from a
Toyota P/U parked in the lot. Office Building, 901 Wilshire, 3/6, 1100-1200 hrs. Canteen service employee reported parking
his truck near the loading dock while he was inside performing service. When he returned, he found the side door
lock punched and the merchandise inside riffled through; however it appeared
nothing was taken. Malicious Destruction of Property: Rite Aid, 2971 W. Maple, 3/12, 2340-2357 hrs. Drivers side of a VW Jetta parked in lot
spray painted with pink paint. Barnard School, 3601 Forge, 3/1, 2200 hrs. Brick wall near kindergarten
playground spray painted with, “DEUCE” and “BECK.” Officers located an
unoccupied vehicle registered to a 22 year old male from Detroit with a
vanity plate very similar to the words painted on the wall. Investigation continues. Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile, 3/12, 2100 hrs. Complainant noticed an unknown subject running
from his car in the lot. Upon checking
it, he noticed the luggage rack and rear top stop light broken on his
Escalade. Clarke, 2/28-3/6 Complainant
reported that while out of town someone slashed all four tires on a Chevy
Trailblazer parked in the drive, two tires on a Ford Fusion parked in the
drive, and two tires on a Chevy Cavalier parked in the street. Minors and Alcohol: John R and
Jeffrey, 3/14, 0034 hrs. Officer observed a subject run across John R into a
wooded area on the west side. As the
officer illuminated the area with his spotlight, he observed two females
trying to hide in the woods. They
yelled, “It’s the cops!” and one took off running, while the other was
detained at the scene. The 16 year old
female from Troy smelled strongly of alcohol and blew .19 on a PBT. She was transported to the station where
juvenile petitions were initiated against her for MIP and she was TOT her
parents. Officers learned who the
other subject was and located her at a home in Clawson. The 16 year old female from Brandon Twp.
also smelled of alcohol. She told
officers she ran because she didn’t know it was a police car. She stated she got a ride to the address
she was found at. She blew .06 on a
PBT. She was transported to the
station where juvenile petitions were initiated against her for MIP, and she
was TOT a grandparent. Vanderpool
and Ellenboro, 3/7, 2019 hrs. Officer
stopped to check on an occupied maroon Olds Cutlass parked at the dead
end. Upon approaching, the officer
observed several beer cans on the ground outside the car, as well as several
open and partially consumed cans of beer inside the car. There was a case of beer on the front seat
passenger side floor between the passenger’s feet. One of the rear seat passengers had a six
pack of beer, as well. All admitted
drinking. The five 16 year old male
occupants from Troy were transported to the station where juvenile petitions
for MIP were initiated against them and they were TOT their parents. Neighbor Troubles: Peace Officer/Civil: Phone Calls/Harassment/Threats: Tremonti Restaurant, 1695 E. Big Beaver, 3/6, 1644 hrs. Manager
reported someone posted a fictitious add on Craig’s List claiming the
restaurant was offering a free meal for four people on March 6th and 7th if
customers brought in a print out of the web site posting. The posting included a photo of the
restaurant’s sign and the phone number.
The ad was posted at 1644 hrs. and the restaurant received
approximately 20 calls inquiring about the offer within the first 30
minutes. The manager contacted Craig’s
List who had the ad removed and the posting identified as a scam. A former employee may be involved. One threats/stalking report taken; two threats reports taken; one
harassment report taken. Another of the “Hit Man Scam” e-mails was reported. Retail Fraud: Saks, Somerset Collection, 2801 W. Big Beaver, 3/13, 1814 hrs. LPO’s
reported a male subject had just entered the store, took a purse, and ran out
with out paying. He was last seen
running toward the apartment complex south of the mall. Responding officers located him on the
south side of the mall lot. He still
had the stolen Chloe purse in his possession valued at $1995.00. The 40 year old male from Detroit was
arrested. Officers learned he had initially
run up to a waiting occupied vehicle in the lot, but when he saw LPO’s still
in pursuit, he ran past it. Officers
spoke to the driver of that vehicle who denied any knowledge of the suspect. The investigation revealed the identifying
information he initially provided them was fictitious. They were able to positively identify him
as a 35 year old male from Royal Oak.
He was arrested for hindering and obstructing police. After his arrest, a baggie containing a
small amount of crack was recovered from his pocket for which he was also
charged. Kohl’s, 1265 Coolidge, 3/12, 1330 hrs. LPO’s reported a W/M, late 20’s,
5-6, 160, short black hair, entered the store, grabbed three shirts,
concealed them in a plastic bag and ran out with out paying. Total stolen $105.00. He was last seen driving of in a ’95 Ford
registered to a 29 year old male from Melvindale. 7-11, 2891
Crooks, 3/6, 0819 hrs. Complainant reported observing a male subject take a
box of Chore Boy from the shelf and conceal it in his sweatshirt. Complainant confronted the suspect who
returned the merchandise. When
complainant attempted to lock the doors to get the suspect to stay pending
police arrival, the suspect began struggling w/him, unlocked the doors, and
fled in a white ’95 Plymouth Voyager w/no hub caps, and no license plate.
Suspect: W/M, 18 years, 5-6, 130,
brown hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Macy’s,
Oakland Mall, 500 W. 14 Mile, 3/8, 2040 hrs. LPO observed a male and female
enter the store and quickly grab merchandise w/out checking for price or
size. Both ran out w/armfuls of
clothing, jumped into a burgundy 4 door Pontiac G-6 that was parked in a
handicapped spot just outside the doors, which fled the lot and was last seen
entering 14 Mile. Total stolen: $1735.00
Suspects: #1 B/M, 6-0, brown shirt, dark pants,
wearing a fur jacket w/a brown knit cap w/a brim. #2 B/F, 5-6, black hair, black pants, wearing
a full length fur coat w/a fur head wrap. Robberies: Suspicious Incidents: Truffle,
3/12, 1856 hrs. Several younger teenage girls reported that while in the area
of Marcus and Truffle, a blue mini van occupied by two people drove by them
slowly and the driver appeared to motion for them to come over. The girls ran home. Complainant was not sure of the gender of
the driver, but thought the passenger was a male. Limerick,
3/12, 1330 hrs. A 78 year old complainant from Troy reported an unknown male
came to her door and knocked. When she
answered he handed her a piece of mail and stated he was from the company
listed thereon and was delivering it.
He then left. Complainant
realized it was taken from her mailbox.
Possibility the subject was trying to determine whether or not anyone
was home for a possible home invasion.
Michele
Drive and Ivanhoe, 3/6, 1100 hrs. Complainant came to the station on 3/7 to
report her son observed a suspicious red pick-up, possibly a Ford, after
exiting his bus at the bus stop at Michele and Ivanhoe on 3/6. He stated as he walked toward Sweet Street
he noticed the vehicle facing him. He
stated the P/U passed him and then turned around and stopped at the
corner. He stated after he turned left
on Sweet, the P/U did so as well. He
crossed the street and the P/U pulled into a drive. He stated he decided to cut through the
back yards of some nearby residences.
He stated as he was entering the garage code at his house on Cloister
Court, he noticed the truck drive by the court, back up and then turn onto
Cloister Court. It was occupied by two
W/M’s, w/the driver being between 30 and 40, w/longer brown hair. The other male was in his 30-‘s
w/short/shaven brown hair. The
occupants did not exit the truck, did not try to engage him verbally, nor did
they try to get him to come to them. Traffic Altercations: N/B I-75 near Crooks, 3/12, 1808 hrs. A 16 year old male from Warren
reported the occupants of a yellow Chevy Monte Carlo were pointing a gun at
other cars; he indicated it may have exited at Adams. Responding officers located it E/B on South
Boulevard near Crooks. When the driver
saw the patrol units, he attempted to turn into a nearby subdivision, however
they were able to catch up and stop him. A paintball gun
was located in the front seat area of the car. The driver was a 16 year old male from
Macomb, the front seat passenger a 16 year old male from Warren, the rear
seat passenger a 17 year old female from Warren. They explained they got into a traffic
altercation with the complainant and removed the gun from the trunk via the
reclining back seat. The driver and
passenger proceeded to point it at the other driver. Their parents were contacted and they were
released with a warning as the complainant did not wish to pursue the matter.
N/B I-75
N/O 14 Mile, 3/11, 1500 hrs. A 32 year
old female complainant from Troy reported observing a maroon van driven by a
lone male with a black skullcap and blue football jersey coming up from
behind her cutting into and out of traffic at a high rate of speed. When he tried to pass her by cutting into
her lane, there was not enough room.
She stated he began moving over very close to her vehicle in an
apparent effort to force her to let him in.
While so doing, his van hit her passenger side view mirror. The van moved on, cutting into other lanes
around traffic and eventually ended up in front of her. She stated the driver flashed some sort of
badge or emblem at her and then drove off.
Her vehicle sustained no damage. N/B I-75
and Big Beaver, 3/12, 0330 hrs. A 31 year old female complainant from Shelby
Twp. reported that while driving on N/B I-75 in Detroit the male driver of a
Honda CR-V may have struck her vehicle while tailgating her, and eventually
tried to run her off the road several times.
She stated his reckless driving continued into Troy. A Troy officer stopped the Honda. The 73 year old male from Rochester Hills
stated the complainant cut him off in Detroit and then stopped in the
roadway. He stated he drove around her
on the shoulder. He claimed she
proceeded to tailgate him, which continued into Troy. Officers noticed no
damage on either car. Both were warned
and released. S/B I-75
near Crooks, 3/6, 0830 hrs. 55 year old female from Rochester Hills reported
that while S/B on the freeway in the left lane an older red Chevy or Ford P/U
came up behind her at a high rate of speed.
She stated he got right on her bumper.
She stated she had to slow down due to traffic in front of her
slowing. As she did, she stated the
driver of the P/U slammed on his brakes, causing his tires to screech and
smoke. He reportedly slid into the back of her car, lightly tapping the spare
tire on the back of her Hummer. The
driver, descried as a W/M in his mid 20’s, curly dark hair pulled up next to
her and forced her over to the shoulder.
There was a “younger passenger” in the P/U, as well. She got back onto the road and he pulled in
front of her where he deliberately slammed on his brakes, again causing his
wheels to smoke. She stated the truck
exited at Rochester Road. She tried to
follow as she called 911, but he was able to speed away. Three
different traffic altercations were reported; all were verbal only/no
assaults or damage to the involved vehicles.

Officers responded to 4 incidents involving an individual experiencing emotional/psychological
difficulties and assisted w/transport to the hospital for
evaluation/commitment. Miscellaneous Information: Hallmark,
3/11, 1300 hrs. Complainant reported
that while walking his leashed Cockapoo, a black Labrador Retriever ran up
and attacked his dog, resulting in several puncture wounds to its
abdomen. The dog was treated and
released at his vet. The owner of the
lab indicated there was an invisible fence system in place, checked it and
did not discover any malfunctions. He
agreed to keep his dog leashed; he confirmed its medical records were up to
date. Complainant did not wish to
pursue charges. Gas
Station, 5991 Livernois, 3/12, 1130 hrs. A 16 year old female from Oakland
and her 25 year old baby sitter from Rochester Hills reported the 16 year old
had just purchased a pack of cigarettes from the station and the clerk did
not ask for ID. Upon speaking with the
46 year old male clerk inside, he told officers he asked, she claimed she
didn’t have ID, but “swore” she was 18.
He stated he trusted her so made the sale. He was warned. Complainants were referred to the City
Attorney as the 25 year old wanted him ticketed. Case Updates: First Degree Murder Charges in Troy

has authorized charges against the two suspects arrested in conjunction with
Tuesday’s double homicide in Troy. Detectives
swore to the warrant before Judge Michael Martone in Troy’s 52-4 District
