Assault – Police Officer:

Red Maple – 12/5 – 19:05 hours: Troy Police Officers responded to an address on Red Maple to investigate a suspicious car parked in the complainant’s driveway. Complainant told dispatch that she did not know the driver of the vehicle in her driveway that yelled at her and appeared to be intoxicated.  As Officers arrived at the scene they could hear screaming coming from a female inside of the suspicious vehicle.  Officers investigated the suspicious circumstances and spoke with the driver who was very irritated, crying and yelling obscenities at the Officers. The driver of the vehicle reached under her seat and pulled out an aerosol can and started to spray the unknown content into her mouth inhaling its contents.  Officers told the subject to stop what she was doing, but she refused.  For her safety Officers escorted this subject from her vehicle and knocked the aerosol can out of her hand.  This individual resisted the Officers’ efforts and became combative.  As Officers attempted to gain control of her hands, she began clawing at the hands of the Officers and dug her fingernails into them breaking the skin of one of the Officers. Crime Prevention Tips

Ø If you would like to have the security of your residence or business inspected please contact the Troy Police Crime Prevention Officer at 248-524-3464!

Harassment and Stalking

If you are being threatened, stalked or harassed by someone, consider obtaining a Personal Protection Order.  For more information, click here.

If you have a Personal Protection Order against someone, do not contact him or her in violation of the terms of your own order, it may make the order unenforceable.

If someone violates a Personal Protection Order that you have, contact the Police immediately.  If the Officers arrive and the person is still there, they may be able to take immediate enforcement action.

If you are receiving harassing, threatening, or annoying telephone calls, you should make a police report.  After making a report, the SBC Annoyance Call Bureau will initiate an investigation.  They will require a case number, the dates and approximate times of the calls, and some contact information from you.  It is a good idea to begin keeping a log of these calls as soon as they begin.

General

If you witness a crime:

Ø get involved

Ø call the police

It is easier to catch a criminal if we are called right away, while they are still in the area.

If you serve alcohol, make sure that your guests make it home safely.

Don’t serve alcohol to underaged children

We all must share the roads, don’t risk the lives of others or yourself.  It is not a good idea to mix Alcohol with other activities like boating or swimming.  If you drink, do it in moderation and don’t drive or put yourself and other at risk.

·        DO NOT use illegal drugs

·        DO NOT drive and endanger the lives of everyone if you have consumed alcohol or drugs.
